Premise
Fairmat has been designed with the purpose of making easy to model financial derivatives. In Fairmat, financial derivatives are decomposed into their relevant characheristics such as the uncertainty dyamics, the structure of payments, and the definition of payoffs.
Fairmat allows to model derivatives with an high level of abstraction by using an algebraic language for expressing complex payoffs and an option map in order to describe the structure of payments and decisions.
